For the second consecutive year,  La Clandestine's "Marianne recipe," distilled specially for France, won the "Golden Spoon" at the 2006 Absinthiades in Pontarlier, France.

Twenty absinthes were entered in the contest: sixteen distilled and four macerated. These were separated in two groups for the tasting, since judges cannot do justice to twenty absinthes in one day! Results for the different categories and for each jury were as follows:-
