Du 23 juillet au 03 août 2009, Claude-Alain, Karine et Maxime Bugnon ont pris leurs bâtons de pèlerin pour promouvoir les absinthes de la distillerie Artemisia lors de séminaires ainsi que dans certains bars de Tokyo, Osaka et Fukuoka.

Tous les événements avaient été soigneusement préparé par David Zoppetti, le représentant permanent de la distillerie dans le pays du soleil levant.

Pour cette occasion David avait préparé un film retraçant l'histoire et la fabrication de l'absinthe au Val-de-Travers.

Banzaï aux absinthes Artemisia ont dit certains clients. 

Le forum français du Musée Virtuel de l'Absinthe a pour but de réunir tous les absintheurs francophones dans une ambiance conviviale et détendue, comme un groupe d'amis autour d'une jolie fontaine et de quelques verres de fée verte.

Les membres de ce forum partagent tous la même passion, et parmi eux figurent des experts dans tous les domaines que connaît l'absinthe : collection, distillation, et surtout dégustation.

Les moins connaisseurs sont bien évidemment plus que bienvenus !

With its halo of mystery, absinthe never ceases to provoke heated debates about its vices and virtues. There is a seemingly never-ending flow of books about its history and about its distillers. A very full past enlivened with picturesque characters helps maintain this myth around the elixir that is so dear to our hearts and to our taste buds.

So why a new book?
 
Couvet is the birthplace of absinthe and for more than one hundred years while absinthe was distilled in Couvet, daily life there was dominated by the crowd of artisans and workers involved in its production. The pioneers of this industry were the most celebrated people in this small village of barely one thousand persons in 1750, the time when absinthe as we know it today was invented.

Without tarnishing the legend around the birth of absinthe, it seemed necessary to us to find out more about Mother Henriod, the Grandpierre sisters, aunt Suzon Guyenet, the ladies who possessed absinthe’s recipe. La Clandestine "Artemisia", recette Marianne, with a new recipe, won the Golden Spoon from Jury 2 at the 8th Pontarlier Absinthiades, held from the 3rd to the 5th of October 2008.

Fourth entry, fourth Golden Spoon ....

And for the second consecutive year, Jury 1 gave the Golden Spoon to La Fée X S Suisse, an absinthe made by a distillery that is quite well known in Couvet on behalf of an English company.

For the first time we entered "Angélique" Verte Suisse in the competition and it won a Bronze Spoon, a very good result against some very good competition.
