Doing a Google search, one can almost hear the many absinthe merchants shouting "Absinthe for sale."

We like to think that we don't need to shout it simply because that is not our main goal.

Unlike some other absinthe shops, we don't want to sell too many different absinthes. In fact we only sell absinthes from one small region of Switzerland (from the Val-de-Travers, the birthplace of absinthe) and from a few of our friends in France.

We only want to sell absinthes that meet specific standards, for example the standards set by  http://www.absinthe-interprofession.ch/index.htm which state that Swiss absinthe made or sold in Switzerland should be distilled and should include no artificial colouring.

Of course we want to offer our absinthes to the world, but for us it is more important to make sure that we lay the foundations for tomorrow's absinthe suppliers - and for tomorrow's absinthe drinkers.

Meaning that there are many absinthes you won't find here.

Meaning that we sell less than we might otherwise do.

Meaning that we can offer the very best service to those customers we do have.

However we are pragmatic and realise that there are many people who want to buy La Clandestine and to buy other absinthes at the same time. Absinthes that we don't carry.
